Delete Your Packt Account
This page explains how to request deletion of your Packt Rally App account and associated data.
⚠️ Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently deleted.
What Gets Deleted
- User Account: Your Firebase authentication account will be permanently deleted
- Location History: All GPS location records and tracking data from your rallies
- Rallies Created: All rally events you created will be permanently deleted
- Rally Participations: You will be removed from all rallies you joined
- User Profile: Your profile information, preferences, and settings
Data Retention
Retention Period: No retention period - all data is deleted immediately upon request.
What's Kept: No data is retained after account deletion.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open the Packt Rally App on your Android device
- Go to Settings or your Profile page
- Select "Account Settings" or "Privacy Settings"
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm deletion when prompted
- Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted
Alternative: Delete Specific Data Only
If you want to keep your account but delete specific data types, you can do so from the app:
- Location history only
- Rally participation records
- Rallies you created
This allows you to maintain your account while removing selected data.
